Saw The Pets tonight at the Bush Hall. WOW. they’ve stepped up another notch. A fantastic show. You REALLY have to see them live if you can to be blown away by how good these (frankly) kids are.
It was an all-age show – which is great in London as you get real fans as well as the boring industry folks and snobby music lovers nodding their heads. There was stage-diving and stage-incading galore.
there was a beautiful moment when a rather portly, and much older, fellow jumped on to the stage, turned around and went to dive. The back third of the crowd shouted “Noooooo!!!” as one, and then winced and looked away as he crashed down on the front rows. Comedy.
Great support too from Harrisons and Good Shoes, as well as Jeffrey (who also happens to be Jemina’s boyfriend) who is the most remarkable One Man Band. Think Jack white, playing the drums at the same time as the guitar. Who needs Meg??
