week-long pause
please forgive my absence. It’s been busy.
The weekend in NI was incredible. Time with LB that proved we can talk non-stop for 48 hours straight. I think we actually set the world to rights. Anyone noticed a difference this week? Also time meeting new friends, and getting to know old ones better. A couple of days within a community that loves each other through the bumps of life; the human interaction equivalent of a long hot bath.
Then into this week. I knew it was going to be busy, but I hadn’t quite appreciated the magnitude. Advance planning to cover my leave plus time-consuming editing for some awards entries plus the fact we move offices at 3.30 tomorrow afternoon.
Blah Blah Blah. it’s all just excuses. I’ve neglected you and I’m sorry. What can I say about my week that’s even vagely interesting?
nothing. that’s really rubbish. Oh – a woman got on the tube tonight with the most enormous pink baloon. It was so big it made her look like La La from the Telly Tubbies. She tried to get through a small door and couldn’t so she ran for the double doors and just made it through. Everyone turned to look at her, and instead of glazing over and going back to their books and iPods everybody smiled.
night night

Bored during lunch. Visited chrismoyles.net, strayed onto ex-staff, wondering if you were there then googled you and found this blog. Glad to see you are still alive and keeping busy. Did a search for ‘Premier’ here and only found it in relation to football. Now you have a search result in relation to ‘premier radio’ too.
Bye!
Well, hello! Just to say I’m a-checkin’ in. It was *great* to meet you in Belfast. Please visit again… or maybe I’ll be in London… or maybe we’ll drink some wine and hear some tunes at Greenbelt….. love Willow
Mike! Lovely to have you visit. take your shoes off and stay a while…
Willow – welcome too. If Greenbelt is the next time I see you I’ll be most upset. you’re a good woman and I look forward to seeing you soon.
