Leaving the Vineyard
I’m sat at the gate at O’Hare airport wwiting for the final flight of the day – to Nashville.
7 days with my lovelies isn’t enough, but then three months wasn’t enough… We had such a good morning this morning; cinnamon rolls, playing on the swings, persuading Sam to wear a brand new t-shirt (very rare) by telling him he’d look like Larry Mullen Jr. Leaving was hard. I must see them soon.
I’ve nearly finished my book. It’s been amazing, and made 10 hours of travel bareable. That and some soduku for light relief.
I was happy to get myself an earlier flight from Boston to Chicago. I figured it would break up the journey and let me have dinner here. I was overjoyed when I realised, on arrival, that there was an earlier flight to Nashville that I could still get…
I chased around to the gate to be told that I’m not allowed to fly without my suitcase. “if your bags arrive later than you do we have to explain it to The Government.” grrrr. This is a joke when I think of the amount of times I’ve arrived before my bags at their mistake!
oooh. their calling us. better go.
David Mead in my ears “Going Back To Nashville”.
Here’s where the butterflies begin
