Coldplay Earls Court
Took Cath to see Coldplay, as is our want. 6 months on from the last time we saw them, the show has not just stepped up a gear, but lept onto another plain.
I HATE Earls Court as a venue: The sound it awful and there’s no atmosphere. Tonight they made it sing, literally and emotionally. I’ve only ever seen U2 do that before, which is strange considering the comment about advice I made after the Crystal Palace gig.
One of the highlights was the group of teenagers that were sat near to us. Three girls and two boys, all about 15 or 16, lapping up every moment. They grinned, the danced, they sang along… it’s good to remember that gig aren’t all about industry types nodding their heads and leaving early.
Wow. A thousand percent better than expected.

This was my experience in Atlanta. I had lowered expectations a bit after reading your post. But, it appears someone has been helping them sculpt the show. Honestly, bands have a hard time doing that naturally.
They are by no means u2, but they are taking good notes these days! Scott Dente and I went with the jarboys and it was a GRAND time.
