a successful evening
Tuesday was rather slow at getting off the ground… I actually fell asleep standing up on the train, and bumped my head on a pole as it joggled (much to the hilarity of the woman standing next to me. She was nice… it was very funny).
The evening was rather better… Not only was the St Mark’s Christmas quiz a great laugh, I won a prize on the raffle (a cute little change purse) and our team WON THE QUIZ! I believe we, en masse, squealed like girls when we realised our 65.5 points put us on top. I think there were prizes… no idea what they were though.
Better than all this though, I was given an offer I haven’t had for years: “Would you like to come round and play with my Lego?” New Friend Simon has the BEST Advent Calender in the world EVER and I’ve been addicted to developing story for a week or so now.
I stayed up way past my bedtime though. Toys are fun.

Bless! It feels good to be a new friend AND to make an offer not to be refused. Should any female lego peeps appear from behind a door they shall duly be named Jude. Unless you want to be the so far nameless dog. Maybe not. Sssshh – stop talking now, you’ve said too much.
wait a minute there soldier… YOU CALLING ME A DAWG???
*scrubs New Friend Simon off christmas card list*
that comment’s going to take serious beer to erase

I refer you to the urban dictionary:
dawg:
Close friend and/or Homie (fem. dawgette)
(eg. Jude is my dawgette)
I will budget for serious beer
