better days
better days are always peppered amongst the seemingly endless stream of bad ones.
Today was long, heart-stoppingly busy, but totally encouraging and pretty darn productive. I felt somewhat carried.
Apparently Westlife turned on the Christmas Lights in Oxford Street earlier. Shame it wasn’t the newly-reunited Take That… Now there’s a band I sneak out during work hours to get another glimpse of! Even if they’re all ropey as anything these days, just the comedy value of squealing at Mark Owen one more time would be worth it.
Tomorrow will be lovely. There’s already things sitting waiting on the mantlepiece to get it off to a good start… but the thought of actually being 33 is a scarier concept than any age I’ve got to before. I’m not sure if it’s to do with difference in expectations to reality, or just that it’s beginning to sound proper grown up. There’s no way I can even fake being a ‘young person’ any more. The jig is up.
And so I guess on to more jigging.
