drunk and remiss

Apologies for anything I say right now. I’m a bit tipsy and my feet hurt. fashion is rubbish. I’m going to wear trainers for ever.
Anyway, as Squeezyboy commented a few posts ago I forgot to review the gig at La Scala on Tuesday night.
Got there early and was pleased to have Mark there, as well as Mr H. Catherine Feeny was really good. She’s got an amazing voice as was even better than I’d expected after hearing the excellent MP3s Mr H had forwarded from her site. Squeezyboy will also be please dto know that I thought the band was more than excellent also!
Duke Special was great as always. Only one song left the crown drifting back to loud conversation, but his performance was spot on. It’s about time these people got massive recognition and made millions of pounds.
Did I tell you my feet hurt? Went to the pub after work (of course I did, it’a Friday) to celebrate a particularly fine run of shows, then for curry with Lammo & Jacqs then on to see Captain (I really like this band) before staggering and shuffling onto an overly hot and packed Victoria Line (hope the Northern isn’t down for long – I can’t take it any more) and a smelly bus and train. I fully intend to wear trainers for the rest of my life. And to drink less beer. It’s bad for the soul.
I love my job. I love the people I work with. I love you all!
did I mention my feet hurt?

Thanks for the kind words xx
Catherine is playing in London again soon.
Wednesday 26th Oct (next wednesday!) sees us at the Ginglik club in Shepherds Bush.
