I’m so sleepy and I’m not really sure why. I haven’t had that little sleep, certainly not an enormous amount less than usual, yet the ache in my bones increases with each day. Here’s to a holiday in 10 days time.

Monday was all about cricket. Screens on in every room in the office. At one point I was banned from going anywhere near them as two consecutive wickets fell in the couple of seconds I’d paused in front of one. At lunchtime it seemed almost impossible that we’d still be in bat by tea… Kevin & Ashley certainly pulled it out of the bag. Here’s to you fellas!

I headed to the pub in Kennington in the evening with Mr H, who lives there, and it was great to soak up a bit of the atmosphere. I’d certainly enjoyed passing through Vauxhall each morning on my way to work and seeing the tense excitement on the faces of all ages of cricket fan – the kids being the best.

I was hanging around the office after the show and before a gig and had the absoulte pleasure of sitting in on an Imogen Heap session… as part of an audience of three. WOW. what an amazing talent. and what an incredibly lovely girl. listen to the session here, just click on the link to Tuesday on the right.

  • You have just the right style for this kind of blog – highly entertaining! P.S. I discovered you through the new SKYPE facility! Best wishes, from Edgware, Middlesex.

  • oh my goodness, what a lucky thing to get to hear Imogen in an intimate setting. I’m really digging the new album a lot. I’ll have to check out the session.

  • Imogen’s marvellous – she was playing at the Bedford on Monday, and I was gutted to miss it as I was teaching…

  • Hi Jonathan! Welcome! How bizarre to find me through skype. I know I’m registered but I still have no idea how you found my blog… stick around fella, the more the merrier.

yeah Steve… The Bedford was her first solo show for (almost) ever. having seen that I can imagine it was stunning. She came back in today to picj up something she’d left behind. I want to be her friend. She’s sooooo lovely.

If any Nashvillians are reading – she’s coming to do a show at Exit/In on 25th Sept. GO GO GO for other dates check http://www.imogenheap.com/calendar.html
