And Did Those Feet…
There’s nothing that sums up the wonderful silliness of the British than the Last Night Of The Proms… and more-so Proms In The Park.
20,000 idiots standing in Hyde Park, waving flags and singing patriotic songs at the top of our voices, whilst drinking wine and eating Sainsbury’s chicken wings IN THE POURING RAIN!

Dad and my Aunt, Caroline (spot the sibling resemblance or what!) got into the swing of things early…
‘The Park’ goes on longer than ‘The Hall’, so we started off with tunes from the llikes of The G4, Andrea Bocelli (wow) and that fella who won Stars In Their Eyes as Freddie Mercury. He was absolutely brilliant and got everyone in the mood for Terry Wogan’s dry compering – think Eurovision. excellent – then a soggy sing along. Shame Mick Hucknall had to come on in the middle and bore everyone… but other than that Well Done BBC!
Fireworks at the end, home to wring my T-shirt out and have a nice cup of tea. Now if only I could get Jerusalem out of my head…

Fab Photo of Dad and Auntie Caroline. Love it. Trust him to get OTT about it. Love him. Really wish i could have been there with you guys.
Let’s hear that Patriotism. Land of Hope and Glory. Next year.
Really does make me feel more like being patriotic when i’m over here. Everyone has their stars and stripes out on the fron of their houses. The only time we see that in the UK is when the football is on!!! Nick and Teo have a fabulous solution to the flag situation. They have 3 outside their house: The Union Jack, the Italian flag and the Stars and Stripes. To represent the nationalities of all their family!

[...] After last year’s very damp but great fun evening at Proms In The Park, this year it was a much bigger group of family and friends that headed to Hyde Park for Britain’s only true evening of patriotism. [...]
