Seeing Italics
I need your help. All of you: Even the ones who don’t normally comment.
As far as I can see, the titles of these blog entries – that’s the bits in bold at the top of each entry – and the blue date bars become italicised once they are not the top entry.
But as far as Ben is concerned… he can’t see it! On his computer the titles all stay perfectly straight and normal all the way down the page.
So: for me, the words ‘Seeing Italics’ are in standard font, whereas the words ‘not a lot’ are in italics. For Ben, the look exactly the same as each other.
What do you see????
edited for non-italic developments
THANK YOU BEN (and radar and everyone else) IT ALL LOOKS LOVELY AND PRETTY AND STRAIGHT NOW!

Jude, I see what you see.
Mind you I also see dead people…
…sorry got confused there for a moment.
Tried on a mac in Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Safari. No italics in any of them.
yup. i see ‘not a lot’ in eye-talics and seeing italics in bold.
seeing italics is not in italics…not a lot is…”leaning”.
and bold.
I see what you see-italics below, bold on top
Italics on Internet Explorer, non-italics everywhere else.
There’s a bug in your code. The offending code is in your template, after every title. Remove the bit that says:
<span class=”storyAuthor”>
Ask me if this doesn’t make sense.
I’ll just geek-off now…
Yup, I see the italics too.
All straight up. No italics. Is this a trick question? Do I win a prize?
you all win prizes for being very helpful.
the prize is you get to still be friends with me! WOOHOO!
and thanks pab. BEN? are you listening?
well spotted pab, removing code now…
thanks guys!!
italics are no longer!!!
hi
i’m with ben, no italics.
i was hoping those promised raunchy pics of britney might surface as a prize.
A coward asks for raunchy pics… but doesn’t leave a name.
and THE ITALICS ARE GONE (but not necessarily the dead people, Liz)!!
Thanks for all your help and Hello Jenna!!
j xx
Pab(lo) honey, this is going to do nothing but add fuel to the fire of your King Geek status.
Maybe it’s time we acknowledged this formally and had a coronation ceremony for you.
I’m sure we could knock up a suitable version of Zadok the Priest for the occasion.
Radar the Geek seems to scan pleasingly well…
