Remiss
I’m sorry. I’ve been remiss. Just busy; not neglecting you on purpose.
Anyway. Yesterday I was Famous for 3 words courtesy of the lovely Andrew Collins who named-dropped me in The Guardian in his radio diary.
I’ve also missed out on talking about a few gigs that I’ve been to.
Monday was a double header with Nashville Matt and I checking out I Am Kloot at The Heavenly Social before heading south for Cathy Burton’s album launch down in Balham. Both were really very good. Mr I Am Kloot has a voice that conjures up images of a slightly drunk John Lennon, and Cathy is just goregous. Nashville Matt reckons she’s wasted over here and should be there making a fortune. I kind of aggree… but would rther she made a fortune over here.
Tuesday was Kathryn Williams supported by Clay Hill at the Bush Hall. Wow and double wow. both were amazing. Stunning accoustic music and gentle humour in one of my top favourite venues. Don’t get much better.
Tonight it’s one of the contenders for my favourite band at the moment The Features. I’m excited.
Can’t think of anything else right now… so here’s a picture of Cathy, thaken at Greenbelt last year.

Great pic. Glad you enjoyed the other Kath too. No imagine seeing her at Regents Park open-air theatre on a Sunday night in August. Stunning.
I miss looking at your blog for one day and then see we were at the same gig last night – The Features. Must confess I was there to see MASS (played Stage 2 last year at GB) who I’ve been following for the last 18 months. Sadly now based in France so london gigs a rarity for them.
not blog related, but wanted to say thanks for the DQ advice. Anne, the little man, and I enjoyed it. Post zoo grubbing at its finest. Oh! Anne says she’s just a little unwell. Probably from too much ice cream
pab, have you got thenew album? two of the tracks were recorded at that very gig…
sorry I didn’t see you at the gig Dave… probably for the best though… I was enjoying myself a little ‘too muc’ I think!
Kevin!! Hi! Glad the DQ was good. It’s the only way to truly enjoy the Nashville Zoo. And you can tell Annie that she’s not a little unwell… she IS just Crazy.
xx
Just got the Kathryn Williams / Relations album on your recommendation… wow. Takes me straight back to last summer…
